Meet Infront of the Oculus and World Trade Center, which ties into New Jersey. The PATH train goes one stop to Jersey City. The whole center began in 1908 that NJ subway.

End point

Passengers may opt to visit Carlo's Bakery and the home of Frank Sinatra. The first ballgame 1847 was here, too. Also from Hoboken Lackawanna Station (1907), they may return to NYC by the PATH train. Guide may return to NYC with them..

    The Oculus

    Designed by the Spanish Architect Santiago Calatrava, the Oculus represents a freebird in flight. Finished in 2016 as part of the 9/11 Memorial. 300,000 people come here a day from the 13 subway lines and shopping area.

    The perfect photo opportunity is from the public pier, Exchange Place, Jersey City. The first tall buildings started here in Jersey City with Goldman Sachs in 2004. The rebuilt Colgate clock of 1924 is a holdover from the toothpaste factory. That area is now office/residential. American History is at this stop as well: The Harsimus Cove Battle of the American Revolution. Robert Fulton started a steam ferry to NYC in 1813. The Morris Canal of 1830s began here with a stop on the 1850s Underground Slave Railway.

    In the 1890s, this area was the busiest rail passenger center in America. Today, it's one station a mile north. But this onetime lonely railyard in the 1970s is now one of America's highest household income zip codes.

    The Erie Railroad left in 1958. Then in 1986 came the Newport shopping center. The World's first auto tunnel was completed here in 1927, the Holland Tunnel. Did you know this tunnel was built in a national emergency? One may return here after the tour for the food court. But we recommend Battello's on the pier in the Hudson.

    Of the ten tallest buildings in New Jersey, nine are here. But again, in the 1970s this place was a railyard. How did this 'Gold Coast' begin in the early 90's. Also hear about James Gandolfini, Loretta Switt, Flip Wilson and other famous actors.

    Hoboken

    See Carlo's bakery from the Food Network as well as the famed Lackawanna train station from 1907. Get another photo op of NYC. At the end, tourists may take the PATH train back to NYC or the ferry.
