    Lago de Coatepeque

It has very pleasant waters, and is an ideal place to practice diving, sailing, canoeing, swimming and water skiing. Lake Coatepeque is one of the most beautiful tourist places you can visit in El Salvador. It has a large area where you can practice various sports, in addition to its beauty it has an excellent panoramic view of the Santa Ana volcano and the Cerro Verde. It is a lake of volcanic origin since it is located in a crater so in certain parts its water is thermal. It has an island that can only be accessed by ferry. If you visit Lake Coatepeque there is a wide variety of hotels where you can stay, the most visited are the Torre Molinos Hotel, Rancho Alegre, Las Palmeras, among others.
