This is a complete tour of the city of Berat, in Albania. The tour captures all aspects of the city of Berat and its citizens. During the tour you will learn about the spiritual life of the citizens of Berat reflected in the old historical churches and mosques you will visit, such as the King's Mosque (15th century) Helveti Tekke (18th century), The Holy Trinity Church (14th century) . century), etc.
During the tour, you will learn about the art, lifestyles and mentality of the citizens of Berat by taking a close look at the historical and modern houses. You will learn about the proximity of the houses, architecture, tolerance and how citizens lived together despite differences and historical challenges.
Next, by visiting the fortifications, you will learn how the city of Berat was protected, what the city of Berat meant for Albania and how the city managed to be the oldest city in Albania today still in existence.

1Berat Castle
At Berat Castle, we will visit the fortifications while explaining the history. We will go through the religious monuments and explain their high number and historical development. Then we will walk in the middle of the castle, explaining how the life of the people has been until today and their social and economic conditions. In the background, we would see the interior of the city of Berat and explain some of the natural landmarks.

2The King Mosque
The King's Mosque was the largest mosque in Albania during the 20th century. It was built by Sultan Bayazid II in the 15th century. It is a Friday Mosque with fine architecture and decoration. It is still the most used mosque in Berat today.

3Berat
Part of the tour is to walk through the other two UNESCO neighborhoods of Mangalem and Gorica. In Mangalem Quarter you will visit the Sarays of the Pasha and enjoy the view of Mangalem from different vantage points. In Gorica, you will walk across the historic Gorica Bridge and walk along the new promenade along the Gorica neighborhood.
