    We will  drive from mekele to wukro47km we will visit to cherqos wukro The layout of this church is generally described as cruciform or "cross-in-square". As a result, it is frequently grouped with other churches with the same floor plan; namely Abreha we Atsbeha and MikaelImba.Although the structure's interior is divided into three or five aisles -- "depending on how one describes the intermediary supports in the transverse section" according to Ruth Plant -- its cruciform layout is emphasized by the barrel vault in line with the apse and the sanctuary containing the tabot. Plant identified Axumite detail acting as frieze above the columns in the three arms of the crossing. The column shafts are chamfered, rising from bases upon the floor, and the capitals of the smaller columns are squared with elliptical chamfered edges. Plant wrote that the bracket capitals of the columns at the crossing are not as refined as the corresponding columns of Abreha we Atsbeha.

    Early morning drive from wukro to Yohanes maekodi we will visit yohanes and the we will trekking and hiking to debre tsion abune abriham rock hewn churches The Church of Debre Tsion is one of the most important rock-hewn churches in the Tigray Region of Ethiopia. Numbering over 120, these churche are remarkable feats of construction. Carved into sandstone cliffs, often hundreds of meters above the plateau, and in wild and remote locations, many can only be reached up steep paths through narrow ravines or by scaling sheer cliff faces. The foundation of Debre Tsion is associated with the monk Abuna Abreham, who was a major figure in the ascetic monastic movement behind establishment of remote places of worship in the mountains of Tigray, and probably completed during the reign of King Dawit I (1382-1413). Inside, the church is rectangular in shape, 12.9 meters deep by 7.7 meters wide and high. Its vaulted and domed ceiling is supported by six cruciform pillars with plain capitals.

All of which are very different in style but stunningly beautiful in their own way.After brakfast we will trek to the best mountain and churches of maryam korkor and Daniel korkor  maryam korkor is one of the better known rock hewn churches only accessible by a steep path one need to be in a decentDaniel korkor just a couple of minutes walk from maryam korkor is the seldom -used church of Daniel korkor and trek down and have lunch in town of hawzen after lanch we will visit To visit Abuna Yemata Guh, walking for about an hour to commence a steep ascent up the side of the Gheralta massif. This steep ascent soon turns into a climb using footholds and handholds chipped into the sandstone rock by the passage of many hands and feet. The climb and the walk along very narrow ledges with sheer drops to the side is not one for the faint-hearted. The church itself can be reached by walking
