But his tight-fisted nature became his downfall, as you learn about the tragic circumstances around his death.

    On this street lies the last remaining gaol cell in Warwick. There you will hear of one murderous criminal who spent their final moments in Warwick, before being executed. You'll then make the short journey to the very spot where the execution scaffold once stood, and hear about the terrible family who were hanged by the neck there, and what astonishing actions took place AFTER their death.

    The tour ends in the market square of Warwick, which is behind Old Shire Hall and the County Courts of Warwickshire. The final story is one of murder, insanity and witchcraft, with a cruel crime, shocking trial and some odd developments in between.
