Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo)
Experience the Giant Buddha of Leshan, one of Chinese Buddhism's holiest sites, on this amazing full-day tour from Chengdu. Dating from the 8th century, the Giant Buddha of Leshan is the largest carved stone Buddha and the tallest pre-modern statue in the world. It was cut from the cliffs of Lingyun Shan in the hopes of calming the turbulent waters of the three rivers that flow together under its gaze. Stairs are carved into the cliff that connect the area at the Buddha's feet with the land above, allowing you to view this astonishing sight from a range of vantage points. Views are stunning over elbows and knees, taking in the river scene and Leshan's skyline. Upon arrival in Leshan, We'll then explore the Giant Buddha and enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding landscape from atop the Buddha's head. Wen then pay a visit to Lingyun Temple and Museum and get a deeper insight into the history of this amazing Buddhist site and learn the story of the carving of the Giant Buddha.

Day 2
Ya’an--Shangli--Kangding. O/N Kangding

In the morning, our guide will meet you at 9am, today you will visit the Bifengxia Gorge/Panda base and Shangli Ancient town then head to Kangding.

First, we will visit the Bifengxia Panda base and you can see Giant Pandas here for one hour, you can also hike in the gorges for about 2-3 hours.

Shangli Ancient Town
Next, go to Shangli ancient town. You can spend one hour there and have a lunch before head to Kangding city. The Shangli Ancient Town is one of the “Top 10 Ancient Towns in Sichuan” with ancient wood buildings, ancient memorial archways, ancient towers, ancient bridges, ancient temples, slogans of the “Red Army”, fascinating natural scenery, pure folk customs, and interesting local festivals, etc. This town is regarded as the famous historic and cultural town in Sichuan and enjoys vital status among tourists.

After the lunch, we will Transfer to Kangding city, need 2.5hrs driving, 150km. Kangding is a main gateway to Tibet from Sichuan, for many travelers it is the first taste of the Tibetan world. Kangding is famous throughout China for a popular love song inspired by the town’s surrounding scenery. Kangding is beautiful with river-view in the night .

Day 3
Kangding-Mugecuo--Xinduqiao. O/N Xinduqiao town.

Mugecuo Scenic Resort
You will spend 2-3hrs at Mugecuo and you can see the mountains, lake, valleys,colourful rock carvings, hillsides covered in flags, stone houses and prayer flags with a backdrop of snow mountains (perfect for photographs, along the horse trail). As a part of Gongga Mountain scenic area, it is 2900 to 3800 meters above sea level, covering an area of 500 square kilometers. Mugecuo Scenic Area is famous for the fantastic springs, alpine lakes, primeval forests, grasslands and snow mountains. It consists of Azalea Canyon, Saimaping, Seven-color Pool, Mugecuo and Honghai Grassland, presenting to tourists the wonderful scenery with unique characteristics.

Xinduqiao Town
After the Mugecuo visit, we will driving to Xinqiaodu town and need 2.5hrs driving, 100km. Xinduqiao is a picturesque small Tibetan town and famous for its plateau pasture scenery, with vivid green grassland, streams, mountains, and Tibetan counting houses surrounding it. It is called the paradise of photographers, due to the wonderful natural lights and stunning landscape here.

This morning, will be free time and can pick up at 11:00am, you can have a rest or continue shoot more photos due to Xinduqiao has been long famed as a photographer’s paradise in China.

After the lunch, we will Transfer to Daocheng, need 6.5hrs driving, 340km. The Daocheng County is located south of Garze Tibetan Region, at the southwestern border of Sichuan Province. It is an exciting location with Yading Nature Reserve having attractive sights in the Tibetan foothills. Daocheng has long enjoyed great fame for Chinese travelers due to its breathtaking natural scenery. The area is full of alpine views of the beautiful rivers and lakes, broad pastures, and snow-capped mountains.

Day 5
Daocheng Yading. O/N RIwa Town.

In the morning, our guide will meet you at 9am and transfer to Daocheng Yading park, need 1.5hrs driving, 80km. Today will be the full day tour in the park and overnight in RIwa Town(2900m) or Yading village (inside the park 4060m).

Today the travel route is: Daocheng Yading’s short valley .entrance-Zhuomalacuo (pearl Lake ) altitude 4080m. The Pearl Lake is located at the foot of Xiannairi Peak. It is like an emerald on the lotus-like valley filled with deep crystal blue water and surrounded by wild flowers. Daocheng is renowned for Yading’ s fascinating mountain and lake scenery, and the scenery around Daocheng is also deserve you to stop for the unique views. Prepare yourself to explore the alpine views of placid stream, crystal highland lakes, floppy blue sky and clouds, vast pasture and snow-capped mountains.

Near the pearl lake, you can see the Chenrezig, Jampayang and Chenadorje are the three holy mountains in Yading Nature Reserve. Chenrezig separate the two valleys and Jampayang and Chenadorje are in the southern valley. Three mountains are holy valley to the local Tibetan people. Three mountains are very beautiful and each is considered a Buddha.

Daocheng Yading. O/N Daocheng County.

Today the travel route is:Yading park entrance ( or Yading Village) to Milk Lake(4600m) – Five-color Lake (4700m) and overnight in Daocheng town. The Milk Lake, Wuse Lake, Pearl Lake are the three beautiful lakes in Yading. In Yading Nature Reserve, there are two valleys open for visitors. One goes from north to south and then west, this one is the longer valley where Milk Lake and Wuse Lake (5-color Lake) lie by the end of the valley at the elevation of 4000 meters. The other valley split with this at Chonggu Temple and goes west.

Tagong is famous for its beautiful grasslands, monasteries and you will send 2hrs in Tagong Grassland. Tagong Grassland is located in Tagong Town, Kangding of Sichuan Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture at an elevation of 3730 meters, with Sichuan-Tibet Highway passing through. Backing against the famous Haizi Shan Mountain, Tagong Grassland possesses flat terrain, plenty water and lush grass and groups of flocks and herds, within which there are such spots as Tagong Temple, Muya Gold Tower and Yala Snow Mountain, etc.

Jajiu is a small Tibetan village located in Danba County in western Sichuan. Known as the “Tibetan Fairyland” and was voted in Chinese National Geographic in 2005 as one of the most beautiful ancient villages in China. Jiaju village features colorful Tibetan style houses where most of the roofs are in unison of red and white colors.

Mount Siguniang
Mount Siguniang (Four Girls or Four Sisters), or Siguniang Mountain is lying at Xiaojin County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, in Northwestern Sichuan province. After the discovery of this sacred mountain in 1980s, Mount Siguniang shined visitors’ eyes for its steep peaks, breathtaking natural scenery, and abundant species that are similar to those in the “Alps” in Europe, as a result, it awarded the “Oriental Alps”, “A Sacred Mountain in the East”, “China’s National Scenic Area”, “China’s National GEO-Park”, “National AAAA Tourist Attraction”, and “World Natural Heritage of Habitat of Giant Panda in Sichuan”.

There are three valleys on the foot of Mt. Siguniang, and Shuangqiao Valley is one of them. Its specialty is alpine meadow, millennial seabuckthorn and stratified snow mountain view. Every step you walk is a camera aperture especially when you approach the terminal point of Shuangqiao Valley.

Today, you visit the Mt.Siguniang of Changping Valley section and you could hiking, horse riding here. From the entrance of Changping Valley, there are only 22 km to the foot of Mt. Siguniang, here the vally which is the closest to Mt. Siguniang. Here you could not only enjoy amazing view, but also experience horse riding on Tangbai Ancient Path, which is an important trade path in Ming and Qing Dynasties (more than 200 years ago).

When you reach the Barkam town, our guide will help you check in the hotel first and have a lunch in the town and then we will visit the Zhuokeji Headman’s Official Mansion. Situated in Xisuo Village which is 7km to Barkam County, Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, Zhuokeji Headman’s Official Mansion is a typical Rgyalrong Tibetan building group at the elevation of 2700m and an area of 50000m². Facing south, the whole castle was built according to the hillside topography and acclaimed as “a pearl in oriental architectural history”. Originally built in 1718, Zhuokeji Headman’s Official Mansion is a four-story blockhouse. It’s destroyed by fire in 1936 and rebuilt in 1938-1940 by local headman Suoguanying and his people. In July 1935, Comrade Mao Zedong and CPC Central Committee stayed in this mansion for one week during the Long March. In 1988, Zhuokeji Headman’s Official Mansion was listed as a member of Key National Cultural Relics Protection Units of the Third Batch with its significant historical culture and rich tourism resources.
