At a sake brewery in the suburbs of Tokyo, you can enjoy a sake tasting and a tour of the brewery. A part of Tokyo called Okutama is a place rich in nature and the air and water are clean. You will be surprised by the richness of nature when you compare it with central Tokyo.
Take the Mount Ontake cable car and visit Musashi Mitake Shrine. Since ancient times, this shrine has been widely worshiped as a god of protection against theft, protection from evil, and a bountiful harvest.
Shinjuku Building. 2 minutes from JR Shinjuku Station West gate. It is a building along the ground road. Search "1-8-1 Nishishinjuku, Shinjuku, Tokyo", too. Guide is waiting for you along main street at Shinjuku West Exit. Gather 10 minutes before start time. Look for guide with "Acomo" name board.
We will meet at Nishi-Shinjuku. From this point we will depart for the Tama area. The total time includes travel time by bus, etc., and the itinerary only gathers in Nishi-Shinjuku.
After traveling by bus for about an hour, Go to Mitake Tozan Railway and board the cable car. The cable car departs at a fixed time, so participants board the cable car at the fixed departure time together.
Move to Musashi Mitake Shrine and stroll around. You can see the torii of the shrine and enjoy the shopping street. There are steep slopes along the way, so please wear clothes and shoes that allow you to walk firmly.
Take the cable car back to the entrance, then take the bus to your next destination.
Enjoy lunch surrounded by nature at Sawanoi Seiryu Garden. Meals that use plenty of natural ingredients unique to Okutama are exceptional. After eating, you can enjoy shopping for local specialties. After lunch, visit a sake brewery. Ozawa Sake Brewery has continued to make sake in Okutama, which is rich in nature. It is brewed wholeheartedly with the same method that has not changed since ancient times.
It will take about 1 hour to reach the next destination. Ishikawa Sake Brewery is called a "sake theme park". A historic sake brewery with six buildings designated as nationally registered tangible cultural properties. Time flows slowly on the grounds watched over by large zelkova trees, and you can encounter seasonal sake and beer.
After approximately 1 hour of travel, the tour ends at or near the meeting point.
