A small group (up to 4 people) to make it more personalized and customized, a a pleasant walk and conversations, but with a lot of content. A journey to see how a hut village became a monumental city we still see a lot today and how it became an amazing center of art, architecture and power for over 2000 years. Also, how all this is still reflected in the City today, and with the help of archaeology and art history.
We discuss a timeline of ancient Rome's history and walk to see the Roman Forum, the 5 Imperial Fora, the Colosseum (from the outside), the Campidoglio Square, Trajan's Column, the Theater of Marcellus, the Portico of Octavia, and we finish in the area of the Ghetto.

The meeting is in front of the Church of Santa Maria ai Monti.
Tour ends at the Porticus of Octavia (archaeological area).
Our first stop is the Colosseum, explained and discussed from amazing points from which we can admire all the details and discuss it's history, function, construction techniques and many other details. We do not go inside, as this would take all the time of the tour. We can organize the tour to finish in this point and guests can go inside with all the explanation and information provided right before.
Among the Imperial Forums, the last and biggest one, hosting Trajan's Column, a marvel from Ancient Rome practically intact.
After the Colosseum, we will visit the complex of the Imperial Forums. All the 5 Forums: Forum of Caesar, Forum of Augustus, Forum Peace, Forum of Nerva and the Forum of Trajan. An amazing complex of monuments. Along the way we will see in detail the ruins, understand how they were built and why, and talk about characters of the Roman history and monuments, such basilicas, porticos, Trajan's Market, the Column of Trajan and museums aroud. After that we will follow to the Capitoline Hill. The offer here does not include going inside the monument or tickets for that.
On the way Campidoglio Square, the amazing square designed by Michelangelo, we stop in several terraces to see and discuss the Roman Forum, including Arches of Triumph, the Temples of Vesta, Castor and Pollux and Saturn, the Roman Senate House, Basilicas and much more. On the square, we admire the palaces designed by Michelangelo, the equestrian bronze sculpture of the emperor Marcus Aurelius and other Roman and Renaissance sculptures.
One of the triumphal arches still standing in Rome. We will see along the way the arches of Septimius Severus, Constantine and Titus.
One of the most beautiful squares in Rome, designed by Michelangelo, and with some of most outstanding sculptures from Ancient Rome.
Our final point will the second theater constructed in Rome, the Theater of Marcellus. We will see how, when and why it was constructed. The curious relationship it has with the Colosseum and how it was used during the Roman times, later and still is used today. Here, we will also see the Temple of Apollo and the Porticus of Octavia, where we finish and I where I will give some final tips about the area, the Jewish Ghetto.
Inside the archaeological area of the Theater of Marcellus and the Porticus of Octavia, we will see this temple, probably the second marble temple built in Ancient Rome.
Right next to the Theater of Marcellus, an amazing archaeological area we walk through and inside. This is the ending stop (in the heart of the former Ghetto area).
