You will meet a special beekeeper, who is an official honey supplier to the British Royal Court. You will learn all about bees and organic honey production, get kitted up in protective suits and meet the bees, also tasting their various types of honey.
Although known to travelers, mostly because King Charles himself owns a house here, Viscri is populated by Saxons, Romanians and Gypsies, with families going about their regular life in a normal way.
You will enjoy lunch in the yard of a local lady who will cook for you traditional dishes with fresh ingredients picked directly from her garden. She cooks for whoever joins at the table so the atmosphere is usually lively and people from all over the world meet and enjoy a meal together in a typical household.

After breakfast we drive to Crit (85km, 1.5hrs), a charming village in the picturesque Transylvanian countryside. You continue your journey to Viscri (10 km, 10min), one of the most beautiful Saxon Villages and the place where King Charles himself owns a house. Although known to travelers, Viscri is populated by Saxons, Romanians and gypsies, with families going about their regular life in a normal way. The only oddity might be seeing groups of tourists that come to visit the fortified church. Here you can visit the fortified church in the village, part of the UNESCO World Heritage, the local blacksmith and take some time to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. You will have lunch in the yard of a lady who will cook for you traditional dishes with fresh ingredients picked directly from her garden. Drive to Rupea Fortress (10 km, 10min), a UNESCO World Heritage site, one of the most attractive Transylvanian middle age fortresses. Rupea Fortress is a medieval fortress built by Transylvanian Saxons at the beginning of the 14th century. Being situated on a 120 m high basalt cliff this was a fortified place of refuge for the population of nearby settlements. The fortress stands on one of the oldest archaeological sites in Romania, the first signs of human settlements dating from the Paleolithic .
