Tirane- Theth

During the trip from Tirana to the northern side of Albania in Theth, we will make a stop in ´´Qafë Thorë´´ or ´´Thora Pass´´. Qafa e Thorës is a pass in Shkodër, Coastal Albania and has an elevation of 1,840 metres. This location offers a fantastic view from the top of the mountain and offers a great chance to take thrilling pictures.

Theth National Park
Our tour guide will show you around the beautiful small village of Thethi and then will accompany you during the visit of one of the most important national parks in Balkan , the Theth National Park. There you will be able to see the preserved flora and fauna of this northern area of Albania.

Blue Eye of Theth
The Blue Eye in Theth is a simply breath-taking waterfall nestled in a valley amongst the Albanian Alps. This location offers a beautiful scene for breath taking pictures and a good swim in the crystal clear waters of the Blue eye. The way from Theth to the Blue eye is done by transportation with car. However, since this transportation can only be offered by the locals, the price will not be included in the final price of this tour. The guide will however, accompany the tour members during the whole experience. The distance from the drop off point to the Blue eye is 30 minutes of hiking afterwards. There are slopes at the beginning and end of the hike but the middle part is flat. The hike is not too intensive but the distance and path require a good physical shape and a sure foot.

Day 2
Theth- Shkoder- Tirana

In this area we will be able to visit the ´´Church of Thethi´´. This church is an unusual and beautiful church built in 1892 and still at the same spot with the same foundations until this very day. As modest as it is striking, this church is inextricably linked to the image and history of the scenic village of northern Albania. The history of the church is connected to the names of various Albanian patriots and clerics who served their country and contributed to national culture.

In this location we will be able to visit the ´´Reconciliation Tower of Theth´´. This is the tower where more than 300 conflicts are reconciled, from all of the areas of Shale. This tower was built four centuries ago and was used to reconcile the two conflicting parties. In this tower, the canon of Leke Dukagjini worked as a ´´legal text´´ which would judge and reconcile the parties that are in dispute. This canon had influence in the whole area. The trust that parties would give to each other while respecting the canon, had to be respected at any condition. This tower has not been used since a century ago for meetings, because this tradition has been left behind and the tower is kept as a relic. However, this tower has had big influence as the friend and inhabitant of Thethi, the British journalist Edith Durham of the other century, visited this important building for the culture and history of Albania.

Shkoder
On the way from Thethi to Tirana, which is the final destination of the tour, tour members will be able to visit one of the oldest and most fascinating cities of Albania, Shkodra. Positioned in the north west of Albania, Shkodra has it all. The lake, the river, the sea, the beach and the history. During this stop in Shkoder, tour members will be able to see the city center of Shkoder and enjoy a short coffee break if they wish so.
