Yachimun means "pottery" in the Okinawan language. Approximately 300 years ago, the Ryukyu Kingdom gathered scattered pottery kilns from various locations and brought them together in this area. Since then, Pottery Village has continued its history as an area known for ceramics. We will also enter small roads with a nostalgic atmosphere that can only be accessed by bicycles.
You will pass through Naha's local area, where still a few traditional houses remain. As you ride through, you will experience the everyday atmosphere of Okinawa and feel the sense of local life.
You will explore the Shuri Castle town, which served as the capital of the Ryukyu Kingdom. As you wander through its streets, adorned with cobblestones, temples, and sacred shrines, you will immerse yourself in the culture of the Ryukyu Kingdom era and experience the religious beliefs of Okinawa.
Our local guide will take you to a stunning viewpoint where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Naha City—a highly recommended photo spot!
You will leisurely pass through serene Shuri Castle Park, enjoying the enchanting beauty of plants that shine with seasonal brilliance. The illuminated stone walls and Shureimon gate present a photogenic landscape and unforgettable sight.
You will pass through the vicinity of Asato Shotengai, which was once known as a "red-light district." In the evening, this area becomes lively with izakayas and other eateries. It might be a good idea to come back here for dinner or drinks after the tour ends.
Return your bicycles and we will conclude the tour. Enjoy the city of Naha on your own afterwards.
