You will be picked up at your hotel at 8AM by your tour guide and driver. After leaving the hustle and bustle of Hanoi you can relax and enjoy the countryside while we drive North West to Yen Bai Province with refreshment stops along the way. We will have a short walk in Thai ethnic minority people the walk of 2,5 km. We arrive at Nghia Lo town in the afternoon for lunch. we have lunch in local restaurant. After lunch you will transfer to Suoi Giang where we will stay overninght in Homestay of Hmong ethnic people. In the afternoon, we will do a trekking tour to discover the daily life of the ethnic community in the area and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the villages, rice fields and mountains. The walk will take you around the village of Suoi Giang. It is a green tea plantation village, you will try some tea then go back to Homestay at 5pm. Have dinner and overnight at the Homestay.
After breakfast we bid farewell to the host family and drive to Tu Le town. Tu Le is a little town located in a beautiful valley at the foot of Khau Pha Pass where we will go for a short trek to the rice valley for photography and visit some villages to meet local people before going back to town for lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch we drive up the famous Khau Pha Pass which is 1,500m above sea level. This mountain is known for its terraced rice paddies, and the scenery over the valley from the pass is so stunning in the rice season, especially at harvesting time. We will have opportunities to stop for photos. After the Pass we will drive up to La Pan Tan villge for an other trek. La Pan Tan is Home of rice terraced and Blue Hmong ethnic people. Car will pick up and transfer to Mu Cang Chai in the late afternoon to check in a Thai ethnic homestay. Enjoy traditional Thai's food dinner and overnight at the homestay.
After breakfast we will transfer to a trekking point for a half day trek to enjoy Vietnam’s National Rice Heritage. Our trek will start from Kim Noi village to Thai Village. This trek will offer us a great opportunity to admire and photograph the beauty of the amazing rice terraces that Mu Cang Chai. We will also be able to visit a few villages of the Hmong hill tribes scattered in the area. Arrive Homestay for lunch before heading up on trip to Sapa, we can also visit an other high pass Y Linh Ho which is 2000m above sea level after that we visit Silver Waterfall. Arrive Sapa in the late afternoon check in Homestay then having for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast we take a short walk through the town of Sapa before following a path through vegetable gardens. We then descend down to the valley on a trail through rice paddy terraces enjoying spectacular scenery on the way. When reaching the narrow river running along the bottom of the valley we will walk along its banks before arriving at Y Linh Ho village of the black Hmong minority people for lunch near the river. After lunch the walk takes us deeper into the Muong Hoa Valley where we will pass through Lao Chai village of the Black Hmong minority people then to Ta Van village of the Day minority while we follow a popular trekking route. G back to Sapa in the late afternoon. Accommodation is at a Homestay of a Tay minority family where you can shower and rest with a drink while your guide and host cook dinner.
Depart at 9 am for a 16km trek. stopping first at Suoi Ho Village and along the way for photos, then to the village of Ma Tra, we will continue trekking to the village of Ta Phin. Here you will see Red Dzao minority people and their beautiful handmade handicrafts. Here you can enjoy a relaxing herbal bath that is unique to the Red Dzao people. The Red Dzao people have perfected the art of herbal bathing. Each family has their own secret and use of medical plants which have been shaped through many generations. The Red Dao women have passed their secret herbal bath remedies on to their daughters for hundreds of years so it has become a very integrated part of the Red Dao culture. The Red Dao people cultivate, harvest, process, and develop all the products. You do have lunch in the village then you go back to Sapa. Then you depart to Hanoi.
