4Quinta da Regaleira
Designed and built in the course of the final eight centuries, it reflects the sensitivity and cultural, philosophical and scientific interests of the owner of the comitent, António Augusto de Carvalho Monteiro (1848-1920), allied with the virtuosism of the Italian architect-cenographer Luigi Manini (1848-1936). From the culture and creativity of these two personalities, it resulted in an eclectic-revivalist architectural ensemble, with particular focus on the styles Manuelino, Renaissance.
