On this walking tour we visit Steim farm and the surrounding area, with traditional and modern farming. We walk through the wonderful Norwegian landscape and visit the alpacas and goats in their summer pastures. If you are lucky you get to hold baby animals or see the traditional long wooled sheep or the beautiful national fjord horse. There are some awesome photo opportunities along the way!

We are the gray farm on top of the hill, with a red swing in front. We will meet you at the brown mail-box-stand in the intersection.

Itinerary

    Our guide will pick you up in the port of Vik and drive you the short distance to our farm. Here you get the chance to see alpacas, goats, ducks, sheep and other farm animals. You will depart from the farm on a guided tour of the local area around our farm. While enjoying the Norwegian nature we visit areas of traditional and modern farming. Meet the animals in their pastures on our forest trail hike, where there will be great goto opportunities. Lastly we enjoy a platter of local snacks served in a traditional hut with great views of Vik, the fjord and the surrounding mountains. Return back to the farm to meet the animlas again before the transport back to the centre.

    Vik centre with its picturesque old town . Vikøyri is the administrative center of the municipality of Vik in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located at the mouth of the Vikja river on the south shore of the Sognefjorden, roughly near the midpoint of Norway's longest fjord. From our farm you will get a good overview of the village.

    Hove Stone Church in Vik, dated to around 1170, and is one of the oldest stone churches in Norway. You can get a glimes of it from our farm. If you would like transport and want to get dropped of by the church instead of the touristinformation this is possible.
