    After Breakfast, your 4-day desert tour from Marrakech starts at 9:00 am. You will meet your Guide Driver at your Inn or Riad in Marrakech.     Ouarzazate

    As you climb from the plains of Marrakech, observe the transition of vegetation. You will pass from olive groves and forests to rocky slopes dotted with Berber villages in adobe. These villages gradually merge into the arid terrain of the south. Then descend to the southern slopes of the Atlas to reach Ouarzazate. Nicknamed the “Desert Gate,” this city is famous for being a location for many Hollywood movies.

    Just a few kilometres away are the magnificent Todra Gorge. This natural wonder features imposing limestone cliffs, rising to 300 metres, carved by the Todra River. Located at an altitude of 1,350 metres and surrounded by a lush palm oasis, these gorges offer a spectacular setting. This place is ideal for walks and photography.

    Erfoud

    Then continue south-east to Erfoud. This city is famous as the fossil capital of Morocco. Here you can discover workshops that transform ancient marine fossils into decorative pieces and marble works.     Early risers will be rewarded with the spectacular experience of a sunrise in the Sahara Desert. This is one of the most magical moments of the entire trip. After Breakfast at the camp, get back on your camel for a peaceful walk through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will then proceed to the meeting point where your driver is waiting for you.

    Then we head to Rissani, a city steeped in history and former capital of the first Alawite dynasty. Known for its authentic souks, Rissani is home to a lively Point of Sale. Here, local nomads exchange livestock, spices, dates and traditional products. If your visit coincides with a Point of Sale day, you will have the opportunity to witness this fascinating scene of traditional Moroccan trade.
