    Meet your guide early in Muscat to leave the city for the villages of Hajar Mountains. It takes about one hour and a half to reach your first destination, the picturesque Birkat al Mouz. This village is perched on the mountain and offers plenty of opportunity for a quiet walk for half an hour

    Nizwa and Wahiba Sands

    If your journey to Nizwa happens on a Friday, wake up early to attend the Cattle Market. Observe this picturesque exchange between traders and buyers for about half an hour. Whatever the day, shop some local delicacies at Nizwa Souk before climbing up on top of its ancient Fort.

    Zukait Tombs

    Zukait tower Tombs in Izki, this stunningly well-preserved site was declared by UNESCO to be on array fossilized bronze age landscapes , acting almost as a time capsule for the BCE era. The rich landscape that is home to these beehive tombs was recognized as a World Heritage Site in1988 and has continued to win plaudits for the treasure trove of data it has provided archaeologists from around the world.

    Wahiba Sands

    Leave the city behind and drive another two hours to enter the land of Bedouins: Wahiba Sands. In the middle of the dunes, meet this Arabian nomadic tribe in their desert camp, where you spend the night. If you request it, you can ride camels or have fun with other activities in the sand. In the evening, share a traditional barbecue and simply enjoy the myriad of stars in the sky.

    After a traditional breakfast in the desert, says farewell to the Bedouin family and drive two hours toward the east coast. Explore the Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most famous wadi, a word which designates an oasis. You can swim in its large natural pools and relax in its scenery of palm trees.

    For the end of the day, drive to the Ras al Jinz beach. Here is the Turtle Reserve, where the endangered green turtle has found refuge. At night, they come to lay their eggs on the beach, a show you might be lucky enough to attend. Note: The high season for turtle watching is between May and August. Accordingly, this activity is not guaranteed.

    Leave early in the morning for your last day of exploration. It starts with the discovery of Wadi Shab. The best way to explore it is on foot, so be ready for an easy 45-minutes hike. Don’t be afraid to get wet as you’ll encounter many waterfalls and natural pools. Swim and relax in this amazing natural landscape. As you get back in the car, quickly stop by the nearby Fins Beach and its pristine white sands. For sure you deserve another swim here after enjoying a picnic by the beach.
