Rangiora airfield is the most efficient place in canterbury for learning to fly. There are no delays dealing with air traffic or controlled airspace and the mountains and other training areas are right on our doorstep. This means you can get straight into the fun stuff and maximize your time in the aircraft.
Safety is our number one priority and you will be flying with a highly qualified and experienced instructor who has taught dozens of people how to fly helicopters.
If you would like to do something a bit different we can easily customize this flight to include a mountain landing or a specific point of interest.

What to expect

If you have ever wondered what it would be like to fly a helicopter then a trial flight is your chance!
During a trial flight our highly experienced flight instructors will guide you step by step through the process from a briefing explaining the controls and how they work, right through to allowing you to take the controls through each stage of flight. All under the close supervision of a qualified flight instructor to keep you safe.
A Helicopter trial flight is a great gift idea for an experience like no other!
Please note, there is a maximum weight for this experience of 100kg. Feel free to contact us if this is an issue and we can look into whether we can provide another option.
