Experience Ord River sights and sounds with your guide who specialises in gradual and tranquil tours. Being a small tour of up to 4 passengers we can cater to your needs from stealthy bird photography to heading up to the upper Ord for a look at Carlton Gorge or going for a swim at one of the many swimming spots. Depending on the time of year and day you may see Ospreys, Egrets, Jesus birds (Comb-Crested Jacarnas), King Fishers, White bellied Sea-Eagles, Blue wing Kookaburras, Ord River Turtles, Crocs, Water Monitors and many more.
Elephant Rock - also known as sleeping Buddha and Thethebeleng in the local Miriwoong language, has a unique rock art gallery. There is the option to disembark and walk 3-4 minutes to see the rock art at this location. See the beautiful gum trees. We continue on to Emu Creek to a side of Sleeping Budha not many get to to watch the light conditions of the rising sun illuminate the sandstone rock. There is so much bird life in the small waterways. Binoculars are on board for use and be sure to bring your camera!
Diversion Dam was built in 1963 for the Ord Valley irrigation system
Lily Lagoon formed in 1963 when the Diversion dam raised the river level. The lagoon is the host to many river red gums and bird life that thrive on these trees. A must see anytime of day especially so at sunset.
