Your driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech. Get ready to begin your adventure to Ourika Valley. As you leave the bustling city behind, you'll journey through scenic landscapes and enjoy the stunning views of the Atlas Mountains. Along the way, you'll pass by traditional Berber villages, terraced fields, and orchards, providing a glimpse into the rural life of Morocco.
As we drive along the scenic Ourika Road, we will make our first stop at a panoramic viewpoint, offering a spectacular photo opportunity. Capture stunning images of rolling hills, terraced fields, and the dramatic peaks of the Atlas Mountains stretching into the horizon.
Continuing our journey, we stop at a local women’s cooperative, where skilled artisans produce Morocco’s renowned Argan oil using traditional methods. You’ll have the opportunity to witness the extraction process, learn about its various uses, and sample high-quality natural products, including oils, cosmetics, and culinary delights.
Upon arrival in Ourika Valley, we embark on a guided scenic trek to the stunning Setti Fatma waterfalls. Accompanied by a local trekking guide, you will navigate through picturesque mountain trails, cross small wooden bridges, and enjoy breathtaking views of the lush valley. The waterfalls provide a refreshing escape, where you can take in the natural beauty and, if desired, dip your feet in the cool mountain waters.
After the hike, we will enjoy a well-deserved lunch at a charming riverside restaurant. The meal includes a selection of delicious dishes, allowing you to savor the rich flavors of the region while relaxing in the peaceful surroundings of the valley.
We then head towards the Asni Valley, an area known for its stunning landscapes and authentic local markets. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday, Fridays & Saturdays, we will visit a traditional farmers' market, where locals gather to trade fresh produce, handmade crafts, and regional specialties—a fascinating glimpse into daily life in the Atlas Mountains
Following lunch, we continue towards the Plateau de Kik, a vast and stunning highland offering panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains, rolling hills, and distant Berber villages. This is the perfect moment to pause, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and take incredible landscape photos.
Our final scenic stop is at Lalla Takerkoust Dam, an impressive man-made lake nestled at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. This peaceful retreat provides a serene contrast to the rugged mountain landscapes, and you can enjoy a relaxing moment by the water before we begin our return journey.
