  Varenna is an ancient fishing village that has managed to keep its medieval charm intact. It is considered one of the most romantic and authentic destinations of the whole Lake. Passerella degli Innamorati : A picturesque cantilevered walk over the water that connects the pier to the center of the village, offering breathtaking views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Architecture and Colors: The village is a mosaic of colorful houses leaning against each other, separated by narrow and steep stone staircases (the "contrade") that descend to the shore. Iconic places: In addition to the historic center, Varenna is home to the famous Villa Monastero and Villa Cipressi, and dominates the view from above with the thousand-year-old Castello di Vezio.

  Located on the Lecco shore of the lake, Villa Monastero is a monumental complex that was born on the shores of an ancient Cistercian monastery of the twelfth century, transformed over time into a splendid noble residence. The Botanical Garden: The real highlight is its park, which stretches for almost 2 kilometres along the shore. It is home to rare and exotic botanical species from all over the world, offering unique photographic glimpses among statues, temples and fountains. The House Museum: Inside, the Villa retains original furnishings and sumptuous decorations that tell four centuries of history. It is now an internationally renowned convention center (several Nobel Prize winners have stayed here). View from the Lake : Admiring it from the boat is a special experience : the eclectic facade and the loggias that are reflected in the water create one of the most elegant postcards in the whole Lake.

• Villa Carlotta (Pass by)

  Villa Carlotta, located on the shores of Lake Como near the charming village of Tremezzo, is a triumph of natural and architectural beauty. It was built in the 17th century by order of the Marquis Giorgio Clerici, in the then fashionable Baroque style and surrounded by a magnificent Italian style garden. Today the Villa is an art museum where visitors can admire the many masterpieces purchased by the owners through the centuries, including Antonio Canova’s sculptures and Francisco Hayez’s paintings.

  Hidden in the heart of the ancient village of Nesso, the Orrido is a deep natural gorge carved by the force of two streams (Tuf and Nosè) that join in a spectacular waterfall about 20 meters high. The Symbol: The most iconic vantage point is the Civera Bridge, an ancient Roman stone bridge that perfectly frames the jump of water towards the lake. Magical Atmosphere: The roar of the water and the rock walls create an almost mystical atmosphere, even mentioned by Leonardo da Vinci in his "Atlantic Codex".
