Banteay Srei is a 10th century CE Cambodian temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva and Parvati. Located in the area of Angkor, it lies near the hill of Phnom Dei, 25 km north-east of the main group of temples that once belonged to the medieval capitals of Yaśodharapura and Angkor Thom.
Pre Rup – A 10th-century Hindu temple-mountain with a striking pyramid structure and excellent panoramic views from the top.
East Mebon – Built on an artificial island, this temple showcases elephant sculptures and detailed carvings.
Ta Som – A smaller yet picturesque temple with a giant strangler fig tree engulfing its eastern gate (similar to Ta Prohm but quieter).
Neak Pean is one of the most unique temples in the Angkor complex. It was built in the late 12th century by King Jayavarman VII and is located on an artificial island in the middle of Jayatataka Baray (a large ancient reservoir).
Preah Khan is one of the largest and most fascinating temples in the Angkor complex. Built in the late 12th century by King Jayavarman VII, it was both a Buddhist monastery and a university, housing thousands of monks, scholars, and students.
