This is not your typical tourist experience; it is a private immersion into the place where tango really lives & breathes everyday in Buenos Aires: the Milonga.

In this private experience, you will be guided through a one-night immersion as if you were a local - not just to hear about tango but be taken into the doors of this world of dancing, traditions and codes through a personalized lesson and milonga tour with wine, experiencing the live dancing, music, and culture of tango that can only be experienced in this first-hand context.

This immersion is a special experience that many of our guests take back with them and re-live for years to come - sometimes even sparking a new chapter of dancing tango wherever they live in the world. Especially if you are someone looking for an authentic non-touristy experience, this is something we think you will enjoy!

Note: Guide is able to speak fluent English, Spanish and Japanese if desired.

What to expect

We will start with an introductory tango lesson in which we will show you the fundamental tools and mechanics we use to be able to improvise with other dancers in a social context. We will then provide you transportation from the lesson to the social dancing venue (milonga) in which you will be our guest at our table.

As you sip local wine, you will hear about the codes and perspectives of tango from local professional dancers (your guides), be able to mingle with locals, and observe & appreciate a night of live dancing in Buenos Aires where the locals go to dance. Depending on the day you book, it is likely there will be a live tango orchestra or dance performance.
