Take a walk through the sweet customs of Hvar island. Check out and taste our exhibition of delicious traditional sweets and desserts, while nibbling on the paprenjok, cvit, and hrustula.

Discover the art of making Hvar’s most famous treat, which our women have been making for their husbands and sailors since the days of old.

In its five centuries of history on the island the Stari Grad paprenjok summarizes the island way of life and its rhythm. In 2008, the “paprenjok” was acknowledged by UNESCO and registered as intangible cultural heritage of the Republic of Croatia.
