Exmouth is the gateway to the Jurassic Coast, on this trip we will travel along the very first few miles of the Unesco World Heritage Site which is truly stunning. Once we depart the Marina we'll travel along Exmouth's 2 mile golden sandy beach, then arrive at Orcombe Point, the official start of the Jurassic Coast

Orcombe Point is the official start of the 95 mile long Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. The magnificent red sandstone cliffs here are from the Triassic period, the oldest amongst the Jurassic Coast being over 250 million years old. As we travel towards Sandy Bay you get a breathtaking view clearly seeing all the different layers formed over millions of years.

After Orcombe Point we travel along to Straight Point passing Sandy Bay beach and holiday park. The headland at Straight Point is a live firing range operated by the Royal Marines, you might even hear some gun shots (there is a marked exclusion zone with a patrol vessel, so no safety issues with nearby) Here we be almost within touching distance to the red cliffs which makes for a fantastic photo opportunity.
