You’ll sample iconic Tuscan and Italian wines such as Chianti and Vermentino, chosen from wineries carefully selected by our winemaker. A curated introduction to the most representative local labels.

SIMPLICITY
Wine should be enjoyable. After a short guided introduction, you’ll learn how to use sight, smell and taste to recognise a wine’s key characteristics. Then continue your tasting independently and have fun identifying aromas, colours and flavours — and challenging your friends.

What to expect

Discover the flavours of Tuscany in an elegant yet informal setting, just steps from Florence’s iconic Ponte Vecchio. At First Glass we bring the wine bar home-style: you’ll sit, taste, learn and enjoy — not just drink.

In this private, tutor-led session you’ll:
• Choose 2 premium Tuscan wines (from Chianti Classico, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Super Tuscans) and savour each flavour.
• Receive your personal wine-tasting kit and flavour manual to identify aromas, tastes and textures like a pro.
• Learn how Italian wine is grown, aged and bottled — perfect for beginners or seasoned wine lovers.
• Experience an exclusive location: Lungarno degli Acciaiuoli 6R, right in front of Ponte Vecchio, Florence.
