Irpin and Bucha – horror, resilience and hope

3 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English

The cities of Irpin and Bucha, became symbols of resilience during russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The residents came out to defend their cities, formed territorial defense units, and stopped the advance on Kyiv, but at the cost of enormous losses and suffering. These cities experienced some of the most horrific days of the war, when ordinary people found themselves under constant shelling, without electricity, communications, and food, forced to fight for survival in wartime conditions.

The cozy and beautiful suburb of Kyiv turned into a war zone. This tour will take you through places where ordinary people showed incredible courage, and where each day was a fight for life. You will see destroyed and restored areas, hear stories that touch the depths of your soul.

This tour is also about human strength, hope, and faith in the future. Today, Irpin and Bucha are symbols of rebirth, symbols of Ukraine that continues to fight and win.
