5 Mornings Sculpture in Clay Guided Workshop

Learn to sculpt in clay with professional artist and instructor Frank Rekrut.
You may choose to make a copy of either a figure or a portrait from a vast selection of original sculpture we have here at the studio.
Frank's step by step personalized instruction makes this a fun and easy class for beginners and it is also an great option for reining skills for more experienced students as well.
Our unique approach will show you how to:
1-5 Mornings or 5 Afternoons 3 hours per day (total of 15 hours in the 5 days)
2-Master the art of accurate proportions of the face or figure
3-Handle clay with confidence
4-See and replicate anatomical and facial characteristics easily
You will begin by applying clay to a metal armature (the wire framework that will support the portrait or figure).
The initial clay is shaped to reflect the proportions of the original plaster subject in profile.
Once the proportions are established, you will proceed to build out the clay and fill in the three dimensional form.
The last steps are to add details and features.
You will be amazed at the results!
