Meeting and pickup
We will meet at one of our 2 locations. 1) The Old Town, Casco Antiguo, the most beautiful & oldest neighborhood of the city, with amazing views from the rooftop (stairs no elevator). The second is in an apartment in front of the Pacific Ocean with an equally amazing view Wheelchair accessible
What to expect
Panama Drumming was created to share the fascinating history of Panamanian percussion, its African roots, and the significance of the drum in our culture.
Our goal is for you to enjoy and share in our Panamanian folklore, deepening the connection with its people, culture, and Afro-Panamanian traditions.
We create an environment where people can come together to experience the joy of playing drums; no prior musical knowledge is required. Also great if you have been playing for years.
I will share the fascinating history of Panamanian percussion, its African roots, & why it is so important in our culture. Drumming plays an integral part in the social & cultural fabric of Panama.
Our main goal is to enjoy our time together, learn about our Folklore, & raise the level of connection with Panamanian people and traditions.
Depending on the location, after playing we will enjoy a lovely wine glass or beverage and toast to our time together.
You also get a personalized video of the experience & a handout with all the information shared with you.
Classes are in English & Spanish.
