The Motława River Embankment (Długie Pobrzeże) is one of the most picturesque and vibrant areas of Gdańsk. Lined with colorful historic townhouses, charming restaurants, and bustling terraces, it offers stunning views . This scenic promenade runs along the Motława River, where merchant ships once arrived with goods from all over Europe. One of its most iconic sights is the Gdańsk Crane (Żuraw), a 15th-century port crane that symbolizes the city’s rich maritime history.
On the way to our wine tasting venue, we’ll pass by the Wyspe Spichrzów (Granary Island), a historically significant part of Gdańsk’s waterfront.
