What to expect

Experience the famous Riisitunturi National Park by night. Ski in silence between snow-covered trees and admire the phenomenas of the vast arctic night sky. The excursion culminates in a unique wild food dinner in the warmth of a fireplace.

Skiing under the arctic night sky and wilderness dinner is an experience found nowhere else. Riisitunturi national park is famous around the world for it's beautiful landscapes, but not many have experienced it by night. Guided by a professional wilderness guide, we ski between the snow covered trees in the light of our head-lamps. The wintery forest of Riisitunturi comes to life in a magical way as light and shadow meet on our path. As we ascend higher, the arctic night sky opens up all around us. Depending on the weather, there are possibilities to see northern lights, a sky full of stars, a full moon or maybe a mystical foggy lanscape.

The skiing ends with the renowned wilderness dinner in a traditional kota. Our private wilderness chef prepares a three course dinner on the fire from local wild food. Sit back and observe the culinary magic unfold and immerse in nature through the flavours of the forest.
