Exclusive to Beppu, this workshop is led by renowned Japanese artist Tomoe Higashi, who also speaks English. Tomoe studied art at Bath Spa university in the United Kingdom, before returning to Japan to become a full-time artist.
Offering a rare chance to interact with a local artist, this workshop is centred around creating personalised cherry-blossom inspired pieces, providing participants with a cultural and artistic souvenir to take home with them.

Meeting and pickup
In the heart of downtown Beppu stands Space Beppu - a renovated century-old Japanese house & community space. Upon entering the building, you will be greeted by our friendly staff. Please let us know your name and the name of the activity you have booked.
What to expect
This is a rare chance to enjoy a hands-on art workshop with an English-speaking professional painter right at your side! Besides taking away new skills, you can also take your paintings home with you!

We kindly ask all participants to arrive on time to ensure an optimal experience for all. If you arrive late without prior notice, up to 50% of your total activity fee may be charged as a cancellation fee. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
