Start your adventure at Kiwi Journeys Central Otago in the Freeway Orchard Complex, next to the Misha's Vineyard Cellar Door. Free parking is available. Arrive by 8:30 am for a briefing and bike fitting, then shuttle to Clyde at 9:15 am.

What to expect

The Lake Dunstan Trail offers an unforgettable journey through the captivating landscapes of Central Otago. Cycle from Clyde to Cromwell along Lake Dunstan and the Kawarau River as it flows through Bannockburn, passing vineyards and historic sites. In the afternoon choose to stop in at Carrick Winery for lunch and a lovely relax.

Enjoy stunning views, local wine, and food in one of New Zealand’s most scenic regions.

NB: The Lake Dunstan Trail has some Grade 3 sections where the trail is steep & narrow. Riders must be confident on a bike and have a good level of fitness.
