Ride through the Cromwell Historic Precinct - call in at galleries and cafes before venturing along the trail towards Bannockburn

There is time before the reservation at Carrick to visit one or two top wineries in Bannockburn, known for their world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Mt Difficulty Wines, Felton Road (by appointment only), Dicey Tasting Room, Akarua Winery & Cellar Door, Te Kano and Terra Sancta are situated in relative proximity to each other - choose wisely and check with each winery what their opening hours are so you are not disappointed on the day.

From exploring a few wineries along Felton Road, head in the direction of Lake Dunstan along the trail for an exclusive cabana experience (2 hours) - a private wine and dine experience at Carrick Cellar Door & Garden - while enjoying the views over the Bannockburn Inlet.
