The 32km route takes you alongside the stunning Kawarau River, showcasing beautiful rocky outcrops and historic gold mining settlements.

With premium eBike rental and shuttle transfers included, you can explore this intermediate trail at your leisure, traversing across two suspension bridges and venturing through previously inaccessible terrain.

    The western trail head of the Kawarau Gorge Trail connects to the renowned wine region of Gibbston. Spend some time visiting the vineyards, and savoring some tastings.

    The trail winds along the Kawarau River, traversing bluffs, crossing above the river on clip-on bridges, meandering along paths that have been built and shaped to sit naturally within the challenging terrain.
