Your journey begins with a comfortable drive from Ho Chi Minh City to Tay Ninh, a region where spiritual traditions and rural landscapes meet. Along the way, the pace gradually slows, offering a gentle transition from the city into the quieter rhythms of the countryside.
First stop is made at Go Ken Temple, a peaceful Buddhist site known for its understated beauty and local significance. This visit provides a quiet introduction to the spiritual character of the region.
The journey continues to the Cao Dai Holy See, the centre of Caodaism, a uniquely Vietnamese religion that brings together elements of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and Western thought. Here, you will observe the midday ceremony inside the Great Divine Temple, where worshippers in vibrant robes gather in a highly structured and symbolic ritual. The experience offers a rare insight into one of Vietnam’s most distinctive spiritual traditions.
After a local lunch, the afternoon unfolds at Black Virgin Mountain, the highest peak in southern Vietnam and a place of both natural beauty and cultural reverence. A scenic cable car journey brings you to the summit, where panoramic views extend across farmland, waterways and distant horizons. At the top, the presence of the towering bronze Buddha adds a sense of scale and serenity to the landscape. The mountain air, open views and quiet spiritual atmosphere create a moment to pause and take in the surroundings at a more reflective pace.
The descent is made by cable car before returning to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon, concluding a day that brings together culture, belief and landscape in a meaningful and balanced way.
