Terceira is a unique island in the Azores archipelago. With a historical past marked by navigators, pirates, generals, kings and princesses. Its development stems from the unique natural conditions it offered to ships from the most varied trade routes in the 16th century.
The walking tour aims to present the city of Angra do Heroísmo as the great commercial metropolis of the Atlantic. We will observe the urban and social evolution in an interactive way, with sensory resources through the point of view of a geologist passionate about history and the island. At the end of the experience you will be able to feel the city from the 15th century to the present day.
