Day trip from Cadiz to Gibraltar takes you out in the morning on the Costa de la Luz until you reach this enclave full of history and charm. Your first stop will be in Punta Europa, with unique views of the Strait and, on clear days, the African coast. You will continue to the Rock Nature Reserve to visit the Cave of San Miguel, a grotto of stalactites and stalagmites converted into a natural setting, and meet the friendly monkeys of Barbary, the only ones at large in Europe. Then you will tour the Tunnels of the Great Siege, a work of military engineering from the 18th century that transports you to the history of the rock. After the tour, you will have free time on lively Main Street, with duty-free shops and English pubs where you can sample a traditional fish & chips. In the afternoon you will return to Cadiz after a day full of culture, landscapes and unique contrasts.
