The Village is one of the most iconic neighborhoods in New York City. It has a history rich in stories that will entertain, delight, and inspire. On this 90-minute walking tour you will visit sites where revolutions took place, art has been made, and icons lived and worked.

You will meet your guide in the center of the Village and dive into the story of this first neighborhood to form outside of Lower Manhattan in the early 1800s.
You will make your way to Washington Square Park, the iconic location of numerous protest movements and artistic displays. It is now a vibrant center of the NYU campus.
Here you’ll experience a time capsule of the early Bohemia and Beatnik countercultures. See the spots where Bob Dylan, Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsburg, Earnest Hemingway, Joan Rivers, Richard Prior and many others created and started their careers.
Heading into the West Village, you’ll visit sites where revolutions took place. At the Stonewall Inn, you’ll see the exact spot where the gay rights movement galvanized in the late 1960s. And around the corner you’ll see where Cafe Society once caused a revolution in integration and political performance.
Finally, you will explore the residential area of the West Village and see some of the beautiful architecture of the neighborhood. This includes the famed FRIENDS apartment building from the legendary sitcom. And your experience concludes at a spot of rebellion with the Hess Triangle at the corner of 7th Avenue and Christopher Street.
