    Redstone Dune Trail

Your adventure begins in the morning at our meeting point at Lake Las Vegas where all drivers will to wagon train to the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. About 30 minutes into this drive, we will stop at Redstone Dune Loop Trail. This fiery, rugged, and weathered formation was once integral to a sprawling desert expanse. These dunes, which shaped the landscape, date back one hundred forty million years. Through the ages, geological processes transformed the soft dunes into durable sandstone structures. This will be our first stop along the way to Boathouse Cove Road. A great spot to step out and take some amazing photographs, stretch your legs, and use the facilities as needed.
