    Miradouro Torguiano De Sao Cristovao Do Douro

    The viewpoint of São Cristóvão do Douro is located in the Douro Region in the county of Sabrosa. This site is considered a must stop, it has a stunning view over the Douro Valley, also sung throughout the entire work of the great poet and writer Miguel Torga. when we walk down or up from Sabrosa to Pinhão, or Pinhão to Sabrosa, stop in São Cristóvão, and open the mouth in astonishment." Miguel Torga in "Portugal".We will stop here 10-15 minutes and than proceed to Traditional Lunch in traditional village.

This veranda looks out over Pinhão and the open, curving Douro valley. Right next to the village cemetery, the views take in some of the most beautiful landscapes of the entire Douro demarcated wine region.     Pinhão, the heart of the Douro Valley, you’ll have free time to explore this picturesque village. Stroll to the Pinhão train station, built in 1879, & admire the blue-and-white tile murals depicting the scenic countryside. Pinhão is surrounded by vast vineyards & charming houses climbing the slopes, creating the stunning landscape that defines the Douro Valley. Enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the Douro River, with a refreshing Port wine onboard. You’ll embark on a leisurely one-hour boat, meandering up the Tua River tributary and passing Quinta da Romaneira before returning to Pinhão. Along the way, we’ll make stops at scenic viewpoints to capture photos and appreciate the natural beauty of the surroundings.
