The Middleton Place tour is an all-inclusive experience at one of Charleston’s most beloved historic sites. Travel in a comfortable Ford Transit van with a maximum of 12 guests and a licensed guide. The tour includes an authentic Low country lunch at the Middleton Place Restaurant, the garden tour, stable yard animal viewing, Eliza’s House which discusses the history of the enslaved on the property and the gift shop.
House Tour Notice: The house is closed until April 6. After reopening, access is limited to the first floor. The house is self-guided with Middleton Place docents available.
Pick-up is at the Charleston Visitors Center.
Additional guests may be transported to Magnolia Plantation/Drayton Hall simultaneously without affecting your experience.
Lunch menu options: shrimp and grits, sweet tea–brined chicken perloo, she-crab soup, fresh local artisan greens, and pecan pie.
Please meet us at the Bus Shed Terminal side of the Charleston Visitors Center at 375 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29401. The Bus Shed Terminal is located right outside the Charleston Visitors gift shop and where all the tour busses are parked.
Tour Itinerary: 10:15am: Arrive at Visitors Center 10:30am: Depart from the Charleston Visitors Center at 375 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29403. 10:45am: Arrive at Middleton Place 11:00am: Lunch 11:30am: Beyond the Fields tour 1:00pm: Guided Garden tour 1:45pm: Museum Shop and Garden Market 3:15pm: Depart Middleton Place 3:45pm: Return to the Charleston Visitors Center
