    Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park

    Serengeti National Park

Depending on where you’ll be staying in Zanzibar, a driver will come pick you up at 5:00 am and begin your journey to Serengeti. You’ll arrive in Central Serengeti before noon where a professional guide will be waiting to greet and brief you on the journey you’re about to embark. The Central Serengeti offers superb game viewing all year round due to its abundance of resident animals. Specifically, the Seronera River Valley in the Central Serengeti is a ‘must see’ on every safari regardless of the specific month of travel. Game viewing in Central Serengeti is at its best during the dry season (June - December) as resident animals are more concentrated in the immediate area due to the lack of water on the plains. Resident herbivores include impala, buffalo, hippo, warthog, topi, hartebeest and giraffe. Resident carnivores include lions and leopards.

The Ngorongoro Highlands in Tanzania offer a breathtaking natural spectacle, where visitors can expect to witness the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, a vast, wildlife-rich caldera that is often described as an African Eden. With its diverse ecosystem, including lions, elephants, and flamingos, the experience is an exhilarating immersion in untamed nature. Beyond the wildlife, the highlands boast lush, fertile landscapes, providing an opportunity to connect with the indigenous Maasai people and their unique way of life, adding a cultural dimension to the adventure. The crisp, high-altitude air and breathtaking vistas make the Ngorongoro Highlands a must-visit for those seeking a harmonious blend of wildlife encounters and cultural exploration in a truly awe-inspiring setting.

After breakfast, descend into the crater for a crater game tour. Later on, you will drive to Arusha. The Ngorongoro Crater, often dubbed the "African Garden of Eden," is a geological marvel that promises a sensory overload. Visitors can expect to see a natural amphitheater teeming with an astonishing array of wildlife, including the Big Five – lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinoceros. As they descend into this ancient caldera, they'll feel dwarfed by its towering walls and exhilarated by the close encounters with animals in their natural habitat.
