This is an interactive activity that involves walking around Cuenca, collecting clues and solving puzzles. It's suitable for all ages and the book is in both English and Spanish. It's a fun way to discover the city and is not too difficult.

This event is in the form of a book. The book has the story of The Devil's Cross and includes extracts from the Secret diary of Diego. This information, along with directions and clues, will lead you through the old historic part of Cuenca. You will see the Cathedral, medieval arches, hanging houses, a suspended bridge over a ravine, a monastery and much more. You will solve puzzles along the way and have a lot of fun. This is a public event and all you need is the book and a pen and paper.

Meeting point

Go to the shop called Colores at Fuero 1, Cuenca. Show them your receipt and they will give you your book. The starting point is at the Bezudo Arch. You must follow the marked route. You are your own guide. Get to know Cuenca with your family in a fun way and solve puzzles to know the mistery.

What to expect

Es una actividad para conocer la ciudad de Cuenca de forma divertida por ti mismo y con tu familia resolviendo las pistas y misterios que te iremos proponiendo hasta resolver el misterio final. Para realizar la actividad en primer lugar, tienes que ir a la calle Fuero 1 de Cuenca, frente al Ayuntamiento, donde recogerás tu cuaderno de actividades. Después dirígete al arco de Bezudo, allí tendrás que leer el diario secreto de Don Diego y seguir las instrucciones que te guiarán por el casco antiguo e histórico de Cuenca. Seguirás indicaciones, buscarás información en las murallas, señales, etc. y resolverás acertijos sencillos. Aprenderás sobre una famosa leyenda de Cuenca y conocerás la historia de esta ciudad. Hay varios miradores panorámicos para ver las famosas Casas Colgadas y las voces de los ríos Júcar y Huécar.

La actividad dura aproximadamente 1,5-2 horas e implica caminar aproximadamente 3 kilómetros (poco menos de 2 millas). Tardarás más si te detienes para entrar en museos, iglesias, etc., pero ninguna de estas desviaciones es necesaria para resolver el acertijo.
