Begin your day with an early departure from Almaty, Kazakhstan's largest city. As you travel, the ever-changing countryside unfolds before you, offering a glimpse into the natural beauty that awaits.

Your first stop is the renowned Kaindy Lake, known for its surreal sunken forest. The sight of submerged trees beneath the lake's turquoise surface against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks is truly mesmerizing.

After lunch, The journey begins at Lower Kolsay, the most accessible of the three. Enjoy a leisurely walk by its shores, taking in the serene atmosphere and mountain reflections.

In the evening we will return to Almaty.

    Lake Kaindy

    Lake Kaindy is about 400 meters long, reaching depths of nearly 30 meters at its deepest point. Altered by limestone deposits, the water maintains a bluish-green color. The lake contains trunks of submerged Picea schrenkiana trees that rise above the surface of the lake.

    Kolsai Lake

    “Kolsay” means “Valley Lake” in the Kazakh language, for these freshwater lakes lie in a valley in the Northern Tien Shan Mountains some 300 kilometers from Almaty. The three lakes – Verkhneye (Upper), Mynzholki (Middle) and Nizhneye (Lower) - are located at 2,700, 2,250 and 1,800 meters above sea level, respectively.
