The Maiko will perform two traditional dances (10 minutes total), followed by a Q&A, photo time, and a chance to play a traditional Japanese game.
IMPORTANT: Maiko performances are intentionally short to preserve the tradition, so she will not perform continuously for one hour.
Please arrive 5–10 minutes early.

We have 2 set options with the Geisha Show, these activities will happen at 5:30 PM after the show at the same venue!
Mochi Making Option:

Choose our Sushi-Making class and learn to craft authentic Japanese sushi with easy, hands-on guidance.
Please meet us in front of the theater. Our host will be holding a sign that says GuideMe Japan. We cannot accept any late guests, you will not be able to enter if you are late.
Watch a real Maiko, an apprentice Geisha, perform up close. With only about 40 Maikos left in Kyoto, seeing one is a rare and special experience. Kyoto is the only place where you can experience the authentic world of Geisha—don’t miss this chance!
