In this tour, you also take the opportunity to learn about the 100 days of Rwanda through the Gisozi Genocide Center. You will know why and how it was carried out and how it ended. This trekking tour starts and ends in Kigali.
You will be picked up from your hotel or from Kigali international airport by an experienced driver guide. Begin your 4-day. Bwindi and Kibale tour from Kigali with a city tour. Visit iconic sites like the Gisozi Genocide Center, craft centers, and local markets, especially the Kimironko Market. Later, you leave Kigali and head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will cross to Uganda through the Chanika Border to the Kisoro/Katuna Border toward Kabale. Enjoy the beautiful countryside characterized by rolling hills. You will arrive early to check in at your gorilla safari lodge for relaxation.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast whereafter you'll meet the officials at the park offices. You will be briefed about the gorilla-trekking rules starting at 7:00 a.m. At 8:00 a.m., you can expect to leave the lodge for the gorilla trek. You will visit one of the park’s 20 habituated gorilla families. A trek to view the Bwindi gorillas is unpredictable and lasts from 2 to 6 hours, with a guarantee of spending 1 hour with them for a magical encounter. Afterward, return to the accommodation for relaxation. Later in the evening, don’t miss out on enjoying an authentic African cultural experience with the Batwa community.
Begin your road trip from Bwindi to Kibale National Park which includes a game drive at the Ishasha sector. Enjoy the sight of the tree-climbing lions, plus a variety of birds, elephants, and buffaloes.
Later, continue to Kibale National Park. For early arrivals, there will be a chance to proceed to the Bigodi Wetland for a nature walk. This swamp is rich in primates and birds like the great blue turacos.
Head to the Kanyanchu Tourist Center for a briefing about the Kibale chimpanzee trekking and the allocation of park guides. You will have 2 to 4 hours to trek through the Kibale Forest. Once you come across the chimpanzee community, expect to have an hour of a magical encounter and photography. A chimp trek offers more than just visiting the chimpanzees, as you will also encounter many other primates. Afterward, you will return to the lodge. An early lunch will be provided (or packed) to enjoy en route to Kigali. Your driver will drop you off at the hotel for relaxation.
