Are you in need of some wholesome nature time? Recharge your body and mind and awaken all your senses by trying forest bathing the Nordic way!

Neither a hike nor a naturalist walk, forest bathing is a heart-felt, science-based wellbeing practice that continues to gain global popularity. It involves walking slowly, pausing and taking in the ambience of nature using all the five senses and engaging in mindfulness-type practices.

Forest bathing is as much about pausing to listen to your inner self as it is about listening to nature. With a trained guide, it is much easier to slow down – one of the hardest things in today's busy world. You can leave all effort behind and relax, knowing that the lead you safely in a small group.

What to expect

Escape the city and join a professional Forest Therapy Guide for a forest bathing (or shinrin-yoku) walk in Nuuksio National Park.

Humans have known the healing effects of nature for millennia. Forest bathing method was developed in Japan in the 80’s to help reduce the stress of professional urban populations. It is an evidence-based, holistic practice that boosts the health benefits of nature, promotes relaxation and actually improves the immune system.

Meet your guide at the front doors of Haltia (or for private groups, your chosen pick-up location). We enter the taiga coniferous forest and dive into the fascinating world of sounds, smells, textures, colours and shapes. You pause to listen nature's calming sounds, breathe in the fresh air and let go of any worries. The guide invites you to do easy sensory, breathing and nature connection activities to help you let go and be present. You reconnect with nature – and yourself. Your soul is filled with peace.

We conclude with aromatherapeutic oil, sharing our experiences and enjoying Finnish wild bilberry juice.

The Open Group option runs with 4+ guests. If this isn't met, you can upgrade to Private or receive a full refund.
