In this very popular tea ceremony experience, you will enjoy tea ceremony, matcha green tea, and wagashi (Japanese sweets) prepared by a kimono-clad master teishu.
The course takes place in a 24-mat authentic tatami room and lasts from 60 minutes.
Guided activity in English and Japanese are available.

Kimono rental is not included in the price.
As an optional item, we offer a traditional Oshima Tsumugi haori (kimono jacket).

Terakoya NINJA's Tea Ceremony Experience offers a hands-on introduction to the traditional tea ceremony.
With a history dating back hundreds of years, the tea ceremony originated in samurai culture and was once considered the highest form of entertainment.
Experienced tea masters will explain and guide you through the special utensils and etiquette used in the tea ceremony as you experience it firsthand.
The tour takes approximately 60 minutes.
