It lies on the route from Leh to Pangong Lake and is the third-highest motorable road globally. Named after Saint Changla Baba, the pass is not just a gateway but an experience in itself. As you ascend, you’ll witness dramatic changes in landscape—from barren mountains to snow-covered peaks and icy winds. A small temple dedicated to Changla Baba sits at the top, where many travelers stop for a quick prayer and photo. Despite its rugged terrain and chilly winds, Changla offers unmatched views of the Himalayas, and the drive is a highlight of the Pangong Lake journey.
