During the New Year's Eve countdown event on December 31st, you can watch the spectacular fireworks show, release sky lanterns, temple fun fair activities, and enjoy Thai buffet dinner, counting down the New Year together with tourists from all over the world.

【Schedule】
17:00–18:00: Meet the staff at meeting point. Depart to the venue.
18:00: Registration. Enjoy Various Activity, Finger Food & Snackat CAD Village and Lanna Ancient Market.
19:00: Dining Area Open Chill out playing Game and Activity Area.
21:00: PAGODA ZONE open. World Music and Performance.
22:30–23:00: Lanna Performance: The Spirit of Lanna: Bounderess Faith.
23:00 A Mesmerizing Lanna Orchestra.
23:45 Releasing Sky Lantern and Countdown to 2026.
00:00—00:25: The Grand Firework Show.

After the event, transfer back to Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre / Maya Shopping Mall.

What to expect

This is a grand New Year countdown celebration which will take place on December 31st, 2025. You can experience the special Thai style New Year celebration. During the period, over 4000 fireworks will be set off from the lake.

You can enjoy local performers show, immersing yourself in lana culture, traditions, and local lifestyles. There are also fun temple activities. You can light up a ceremonial cup lamps to make good wish for the comming new year.

For Elite and Platinum tickets — In front of MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center (near Rin Kham Intersection, Nimmanhaemin Road) .
For Gold, Premium, VIP, and Standard tickets — Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre (near the 700th Anniversary Stadium).

  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • After the event, the free shuttle will take you back to Maya Shopping Mall or Night Bazzar.
  • Children under 8 years old are ticket-free. They can have dinner with their parents. No additional lanterns or souvenirs are provided.
  • We provide booking services of tickets for the CAD Yi Peng Lantern Festival. The specific travel services and operations will be provided by the organizer. The final interpretation of the event belongs to the organizer.
